Rules & Regulations

  • General Rule

Once a student is admitted, they must follow all the rules and policies of the school & management.

  • Identity Card (ID Card)
    • Each student will get an ID card after admission.
    • Students must carry their ID card to enter the school and attend classes.
    • If the card is lost or damaged, a duplicate can be issued by the school for 100.
    • Misuse of the ID card will lead to penalties.
  • Attendance & Uniform
    • Students must attend school regularly and wear the proper uniform along with their ID card.
  • Contact Details
    • Students must provide a valid email ID and mobile number of themselves or their parent/guardian.
    • All important information, including test results, will be sent through email/mobile no.
    • The school is not responsible if information is missed due to incorrect contact details.
  • Discipline and Academic Performance
    • Students must work hard and behave properly in class and the hostel.
    • If a student is found to be irregular, undisciplined, or not serious about studies, they may be warned.
    • The school may take action, and the decision of the school management will be final.
    • No refund of fees will be given in such cases.
  • Long Absence
    • If a student is absent for more than 7 days without written notice, they may not be allowed back into class.
    • The Principal’s decision will be final in such cases.

 

  • Admission Withdrawal via E-Admission
    • If a student changes to a higher option through the e-admission system, the deposited amount will be refunded after deducting charges as per Government rules.
    • In case of a lower option, the management will decide on the refund.
  • Parent-Principal Interaction
    • Parents may meet the Principal only with prior appointment to discuss their ward’s progress or issues.
  • Address Change
    • Any change in address must be informed to the school office within 7–10 days in writing.
  • Punctuality
    • Students who are more than 10 minutes late to class or a test will not be allowed to enter.
  • Study Material
    • If a student loses school-provided items like a bag, a replacement can be obtained for 200.
  • Caution Money
    • A refundable caution deposit of Rs. 2000 must be paid.
  • Unforeseen Events
    • The school is not responsible for accidents caused by natural disasters or events beyond its control (e.g., fire, flood, earthquake).
  • Late Fee Fine
    • A fine of 50 per day will be charged for delayed fee payments.
  • Use of Electronic Devices
    • Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones, iPad, or similar devices to class.
  • Parent Seating
    • The school does not provide waiting arrangements for parents during classes or tests.
  • Class Schedule
    • The school can change the timing or schedule of classes without prior notice.
    • The Principal’s decision in such matters is final.
  • Disputes and Arbitration
    • In case of any dispute, the matter will be handled by a Sole Arbitrator appointed by the Secretary of Manjari Devi Women’s Higher Secondary School.
    • All proceedings will be held in Bhubaneswar under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
    • The courts in Bhubaneswar will have jurisdiction over such matters.
